I’ve never really shared this story… but one day in 2016, MasterChef Canada called me for an audition. At the time, I was just a mom cooking for her family and I was also teaching cooking classes. No big plans. No strategy. Just love for food and a deep connection to my roots and to the people around me. That phone call didn’t define me—but it did remind me to believe in myself.
