I was very impressed with the Burano lace history and making. I was able to interview the shop owner and tell us a little more about these types of art. Burano is famous for the handmade lace, a traditional artistry that has been shared from mothers to daughters for thousands of years. So touched by this shop. The owner is trying to preserve this dying craft by allowing the locals to work from home and sell their work at the shop. Each creations is truly a work of love and patience.
