Jakarta: The death toll from a collision between two trains in Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia, has risen to 14, with 84 people injured, local officials said on Tuesday.

At least four people were killed and dozens injured when two trains collided outside the Indonesian capital Jakarta on Monday.

"The locomotive and one carriage effectively merged, making rescue operations highly difficult," Syafii told a news conference.
